anyone knows something about Biscofshofen?

It%26#39;s near Salsburg, i think...

Bischofhofen is a good way from Salzburg (about 30 miles), through the Salzach gap. Are you thinking of it as a base for a holiday? It%26#39;s not a particularly inspiring town. It%26#39;s the sort of place you go through on the way to somewhere else (I hope I%26#39;m not insulting any residents). We go through it when we go from Salzburg to Zell am See. To get there from Salzburg you can either take the A10 autobhan, or a smaller road (B159 I think) which goes through villages and small towns like Werfen (the film %26quot;Where Eagles Dare%26quot; was filmed at the castle there). The scenery on the way is pretty spectacular but Bischofhofen itself is not that great.

This is not such a bad town- best known for its Ski Jump.

It is one of the famous Four Hills Jumping Competition held yearly during the Christmas - New Years period.

Four Hills Ski Jump Tournament is one of the greatest sports events in all of Europe. Unfortunately it is virtually unknown in the U.S. Here is a little article on the event:
