car rental from Sudbanhof

Good day- we will arrive in Vienna by train at Sud., my husband%26#39;s heart%26#39;s desire is to rent a car from the station, drive the Alps a bit, see Salzburg, then drop the car back in Vienna. Don%26#39;t worry we LOVE Vienna and are spending time there after this car journey; would not skip it for the world! He truly wants to drive, not take the train, and I cannot change his mind as of yet. So... Europcar shows a South Vienna location that I cannot find on the maps, try though I might- so could I please get some help finding a car hire nearest Sudbanhof?

I remember a rental company being in the parking garage next to the Sudbahnhof some years ago.I have no idea if it is still there or the name of the company.

If you can supply the address you have , I can tell you where the Europacar agancy you mention is located.

I know Europacar has an office at Schubertring 9.

This is just a 5 minute ride on the streetcar D from the Sudbahnhof.

At the same Platz on the Ring is a Hertz office also.

I was by the Sudbahnhof today.

The car rental agency next to the station is Sixt .

They may not be known to you but have been in business here many years- no problems that I know about.

Their office is on the ground floor of the Park Garage ( Parkhaus Sudbahnhof.) A sign will direct you. Perhaps a 100-150 meters from the station entrance.

From the main hall of the station turn left and walk out a side door. You will see the garage just ahead- the Sixt office is almost across the small street from the Post Office in the middle of the garage.

Very convenient if you wish to rent a car- easy to take luggage there from station easy to exit the city from this location also.
