Which Hotel for 3 nights????

This is our first trip to Vienna and have considered the Imperial and

Bristol as well as two smaller hotels.... We are leaning toward the Imperial between the two and the smaller hotels are

Hotel Rathaus vs Hotel Altstadt

We love staying at the intimate small hotels but at the same time the Imperial is very tempting.... Just wondering if the price is worth it.

I am not sure about those hotels, but we have just returned and stayed at the Hotel Deutchmeister. Small hotel with friendly staff and 5 minutes if that to the Ubahn. If you want city centre though it is about 20-30 minutes walk or quicker by ubahn.

Though I haven%26#39;t stayed at the Imperial, I have eaten there and it%26#39;s certainly a grand experience. Some people seem to find it a little too haughty and prefer the Sacher - but again in any decent hotel you can expect raised eyebrows if you don%26#39;t dress and behave accordingly. My own current favourite is the Konig von Ungarn which is is a delightful old four star establishment on a smaller more personal scale.

Thanks for the suggestion of Konig von Ungarn. Went into a web page and it looked really nice. Normally, we would prefer a smaller hotel but I think we will use our Starwood points and therefore will probably stay in either the Bristol or Imperial.

My pleasure Judy! From what I hear, the Bristol is very popular with business executives but I%26#39;m sure you%26#39;ll have a splendid time whichever you choose.

hi.

try the imperial.it is really ...imperial!

the decoration is heavy but you feel like you are staying in a palace.

If you go under my post under the topic, hotel for a family of 5, you will see my review for Hotel Beim Theresianum. I think you will love it, it%26#39;s beautiful, clean and small. the breakfast is amazing and the staff is out of this world.

I would like to thank everyone for their suggestions. Normally, we would have picked a smaller less formal type hotel but we have decided to stay at the Imperial and use our Starwood points.
