Transport from Salzburg Airport to Bad Gastein

Has anyone tips on the best way to do the transfer from Salzburg Airport to Bad Gastein and for it not to cost the earth!

We land in Salzburg on a Sat at 17:00hrs - seems we can travel by train in just over 2 hours, but with the waiting around etc we won%26#39;t arrive in the resort until about 21:00hrs.

Anyone know of a quicker way - i believe a taxi will be about £125 each way?

the train is the easiest way and drops you in the centre of town, you can hire a car but £125 is steep its only 88kms

The best is to catch trolley bus 2 to Hauptbahnhof (main railway station) and change there to the train.

The fare is € 12,20 and can be bought thru from the airport to Bad Gastein. If there%26#39;s no ticket machine, buy from the driver and tell him, that you want to go to Bad Gastein.
