Grand Hotel vs. Bristol

I%26#39;m trying to decide between the Grand Hotel and the Bristol. I%26#39;m concerned about the negative comments about the Bristol--especially the problems with the a/c system. The only room available in the deluxe category , king bed at the Bristol is on the 5th floor and the starwood reservation dept. can give me no information as to whether these rooms are different in size from the rooms on other floors and two e-mails to the hotel haven%26#39;t been answered. The fact that the hotel won%26#39;t answer my e-mail sends up a red flag.

I was considering the deluxe room at the Grand but the bed is supposed to be a king but is smaller than the %26quot;king%26quot; bed in the exclusive room. I would love to hear from anyone who has stayed in the deluxe room and your opinions about the room size, bed size and the bathroom. Also, how was the a/c? Thanks.
