Watching the Superbowl in Salzburg

I am an American football addict and will be in Salzburg during the Superbowl. The game starts at 6:30pm (Eastern Time in US) on February 4th, thus the game will be shown in Salzburg in the early morning hours on February 5th. The hotel concierge suggested the Dubliner Irish Pub. Does anyone know if this bar would be open at this time of night (morning)? Any other places, sports bars, casinos or such that might have the game on if it isn%26#39;t available at the Dubliner?

Hi there,

if you have a TV in your hotel room (which I assume) you can watch the Superbowl on ORF, which is the Austrian TV channel.

They show it at midnight (Austrian time) on ORF1. And I think it is in %26quot;Zweikanalton%26quot;, which means you should be able to watch it in English. Maybe the hotel concierge could check if that is possible on the TV in your room.

I am also going to watch the Superbowl, or at least tape some of it ... although I am not a football fan, but rather a Prince fan, and he is supposed to sing during the break, as far as I have heard.

Regarding any bars that show the game I would have to ask around.

I was in Salzburg for a short break last week and we passed another Irish pub called Murphy%26#39;s Law, which had a sign outside advertising the Superbowl. I had a look for their website and it seems they%26#39;re having a Superbowl party! The website address is: http://www.irishpub-salzburg.com
