Strange Query

I am heading over to Vienna on Wednesday lat eevening for a long weekend.

Every year my wife and I head off on a cultural weekend somewhere in Europe. As part of the deal involving me visiting museum going to the opera etc. she allows me to go to a live sporting event when we are away. My problem is I can find no live sport events apart from the horse racing (which I do not like) next weekend can anyone help?

On a more cultural note are there any great operas or concerts on next weekend that we should not miss?

A small problem for sports this time of year

Handball and Fussball ( soccer) leagues are on winter rest - they do not resume until later in February. The indoor soccer tournee has been held several weeks ago. Another problem is that the Ice Show - Holiday on Ice occupies one of the main sports halls for many days of January

The Ice Hockey( Eishockey) League All- Star game will be held February 3 at the Schutz Eishalle in the 2nd District near to the Prater - 17:00 -I would think that you could buy tickets there.

Not much else other than a Badmiton tournee. and horse races as you mention But I look a little more and post back here maybe basketball ?
