Christmas Eve and Christmas Day - last minute reservations

We are a group of five couples in our early 30s arriving in Vienna on the 23rd. After reading some of the other postings on this site regarding places to dine on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, I made some phonecalls to the restaurants mentioned in the postings. DoCo and Sachers are both fully booked (they do not even have space just for one couple, let alone five!)

Restaurant Livingstone is open and not full, and the same goes for the Italian place mentioned in one of the postings, Fratelli. We would ideally like a nice, not-over-the-top expensive place, with decent meat dishes and a selection of good wines. Although we are not necessarily after traditional Christmas dishes like turkey or plum pudding, it should not bee too experimental either - we certainly do not want sushi on Christmas eve! Does anybody know whether Livingstone would match our wishes? BTW, we are staying at Intercontinental, but we have been advised against the hotel%26#39;s Christmas dinner. Any other opinion on that?

10 people - not easy to find a place this late.

look at Livingstone menu to see if it is for you wine list is shown also.

Many tourists would not know Livingstone -still in the First District but not a place where many tourists would walk- perhaps the reason , they are not full yet- as most in Vienna have a family evening at home Christmas Eve.

For Christmas Day - PĆ¼rstner - and not that far from the Intercont . I know that they are open.

Thank you for the good suggestions, I will make the bookings immediately....thank%26#39;s God everything is settled with the hotel, so we don;%26#39; have to worry about that.

Another question: We would like to go out dancing on the 25 or 26 - we are not hard-core clubbers, but rather 30somethings who enjoy having a drink and letting our hair down on the dancefloor. I know from other European cities that it is difficult to find places which are dominted by much younger age groups or %26quot;weird%26quot; electronica music. We like the occasional disco tune and mainstream pop/rock, although we would stay clear of anything too %26quot;cheezy%26quot;.

Friends have already recommended the Stage Club in the Bermuda Triangle + the Porgy and Bess Jazz Club (in particular a performance with Armenian-inspired music on 26.12). Do you have anywhere else to suggest?
