Rain or snow

Hi

I have a silly question. I read that Salzburg does rain in winter. Do I need to carry umbrella? I will be there next week to spend Christmas.

Also, anyone knows what are the chances of a white Christmas there?

Hi there,

Returned from Austria last week and yes......it rained. Quite torrential for one morning and then sunny the next day. It is unusually warm in salzburg for this time of year. The locals say it is the first year they have not had snow in early December. Not sure about forecast but you should be able to get some good forecasts online or have a look at some Salzburg webcams.

Definately take your umbrella...have fun.
