I do not know who gave you advice regarding bank cards in machines.

I assume you refer to ATMs commonly known here as Bankomat.

You can call your bank to confirm this , but your bank cards should work without problems in Austria to my knowledge. 4 digit pin code .

many shops will accept credit cards. Some restaurants perhaps will not , But with access to euro at the Bankomat , this is no problem.

We have no problems with getting cash with our cashcards. The only critisism is in Austria they tend to dish out high notes (100, 200) instead of breaking down the notes (10, 20, 50). Still it doesn%26#39;t really matter. It gets spent either way!!!

Soell is a great place with plenty of reasonably priced restaurants. Certainly is not the most expensive resort we have been to. Try the Postwirt %26amp; Feldwebel hotel restaurants in the centre. You will have to reserve, but good value. hearty meals. The Feldwebel does, or did do for the past several years, half price Gluhwein between 3 -5pm in their hotel bar. Yum!!

The indoor leisure centre has pool and the sauna/steam room facilites (which are all naked zone areas, if you don%26#39;t mind stripping off. Well worth it for the relaxation!) Good walking routes %26amp; rodelbahn, sleigh rides and the local city trips, as mentioned.

Enjoy........
