Zurich%26#39;s quite a hike from both Vienna and Munich. If you want a change of scenery from Vienna, Salzburg is more like halfway between Vienna and Munich, or Innsbruck is further from Vienna but still close to Munich.

It really depends on how much of Vienna you think you%26#39;ll have seen by the time you finish working there. If you%26#39;ve hardly seen the place, you could stick around, if you want a change of scene, as I say, you could try Salzburg, Innsbruck or, yes, Munich itself.

I would spend 4 days in Vienna - 1 day transit Vienna to Munich and 2 days in Munich.

I note that you asked a similar question in November.

Much to see in Vienna- numerous music venues with high quality. State Opera, Volksoper, Musikverein

Museums such as the Fine Arts , Belvedere, Liechtenstein offer some of the best collections in the world.

Look to the website

www.info.wien.at

look to events section and enter the dates you are in Vienna-it will provide good info.

Chance for a day trip - such as Bratislava ( 1 hour)

Melk Abbey ( 1 1/2 hours)
