Dear Voldemesaa

Welcome to the Salzburg forum. The route from Munich to Salzburg is a fast, safe and straightforward autobahn (motorway). It should take less than two hours and is about 200km. Other posters will know the route better than I do and should be able to give you more information. Have a good trip.

I am surprised altimiro did not mention land mines too.

In normal traffic driving time is probably 2- 2 1/2 hours.

However, this route is a major way to the ski resorts of Austria.

Saturdays and Sundays find very much traffic and frequent and long stalls.

If possible travel on days other than the weekend.

Sorry I should have asked my question simply and in more details. I always think as if everyone has the same intelligence.

Thank you very much informing about conditions I was nut sure about renting a car since the roads maybe dangerous due to ice. Someday if you decide to visit Turkey, I am here for suggestions always...
