Please help - Next weekend in Vienna

Hello everyone

I am coming to Vienna for weekend, it is my second visit and I am really excited.

But can someone please tell me:

1. What sights do You recommend me to visit in two days?

2. How far is from Sudbahnhof to Sofitel Vienna? And what tram/underground line to take?

3. Any good and not to expensive restaurant in center?

Your hotel is only a short distance from the Sudbahnhof.

Take streetcar D found directly across the strreet from main entrance. 4 stops to Schwarenbergplatz. Turn right when you get off the strretcar - Heumarkt is first street on your left. Hotel is the 2nd or third builing I think on right side.

Be certain to visit Schönbrunn Palace. Directly in front of the palace one of the nicest Christmas markets too.

Other good markets

Freyung- in city center

Rathaus ( City Hall ) on the Ring

Narket on Maria Theresia Platz between the Natural History Museum and Fine Arts Museum - also on the Ring.

Fine Arts Museum is also very nice with excelent collections

Walk along Graben and Kohlmarkt for Christmas atmosphere, fine decorations and high style shopping.

If time permits visit Hofburg Palace and its treasury.

Take some time- rest and have a punsch at one of the many places.

Allow time in Schoenbrun to take in the Zoo - oits he oldest in the world and is amazing - giant pandas , wolves etc

Take a stroll down by the Rathaus at night - the colours from the lights are simply breathtaking..

Go to the Museumquarter and look for a restaurant near where the house balancing on a rooftop is( ive forgotten its name but you must climb a few steps to get to it..) -the food was simply awesome..

really depends where you%26#39;re coming from, there is no real central bus station in Vienna.

One more, is taxi cheap in Vienna? Is it a good idea to take a taxi?

hi taxi is not cheap in Vienna but it´s safe using it and all taxi uses taxometer

Well how much will it (taxi) cost, for example, from Sudbahnhof to the Stadtpark?

And please, any good restaurants near the Stadtpark or city center, not too expensive?

it shouldn´t cost not more then 10 Euros.

At Stadtpark on the side of Heumarkt, beginn of the 3rd district you will find many small restaurants and beer pub
