Hi,
I just found out that I will be in Vienna for a few days this winter. Can somebody recommend some restaurants, nice bars for drinks and music, and tips on language.
How widely is English spoken, such as taxi drivers or restaurants? I don%26#39;t want to look like the rude American that I am.

hi many restaurants have a least an english menu and the waitors know basic english. In good restaurants there will be know problem.
With Taxi drivers it´s another story. Not all taxi drivers speaks fluent German as many immigrants do this job. Many drivers know some basic words. So it´s good to write down the address just in caxse.
