Suggestions for Snowboarding in Austria first time!

Hi,

Was just wanting some suggestions on where the best place to go to learn Snowboarding in Austria is.

Thinking of going either week commencing 6th Jan 07 or 13th Jan 07. There are 2 of us going. We will be on a budget. We want lessons and equiptment.

Im finding it really hard to decide where to go! Also worried about lack of snow and wasting money.

Any suggestions??

Thanks,

Amy

Look to the town of Mayrhofen. many english go there- packages must be available at good prices. Certainly less expenses than other good places such as Ischgl.

Several ski schools for snow board classes -

ski area has extensive snow making - so by January they should have good snow conditions even without much natural snow.

good nightlife too

Mayrhofen will be good, if there is snow. Currently it%26#39;s a bit risky everywhere, this isn%26#39;t a good year for snow. The best place is probably Ischgl, a real snowboarders resort, snow sure, a pretty village and great nightlife, but not cheap. Budget wise, it may be best to go to France, somewhere like Val d%26#39;isere.
