Skibus - Innsbruck

I need some help.

I am going to innsbruck in March to do some skiing. However i couldn%26#39;t find enough information abaout the skibus.

My first question is: is it worth to rent a car for the week or the skibus works well?

Can i go to all the 9 ski resorts using the skibus?

Is the skibus free for people who buy the innsbruck ski pass?

I would be very thankful if someone could help me, because i need to know if i shall rent a car or not.

Than k you

You do not need to rent a car to get to the ski areas. The free ski buses depart from several locations around Innsbruck to the ski areas. If you are not staying close to one of the regular bus stops, you can call the Tourist office before 6 PM and they will pick you up at your hotel the next morning. You can download a pdf of the bus schedule at - www.ski-innsbruck.at/innsbruckskibus_en.pdf

The three main ski areas around Innsbruck are Nordkette, Patscherkofel and Axamer Lizum. There is a very good overview map at: alpineskimaps.com/htm/…holidayvillage.html

You can reach Nordpark by taking the #1 Tram to the north turn around point, walk across the street and then ride the Hungerburg Funicular Railway to Hungerburg and the Standseilbahn to Seegrube. This area is for good intermediate and expert skiers.

The Skiers bus or Tram J goes from downtown to the Parscherkofelbahn cable car and the Olympic Express chairlift at Patscherkofel in Igls. This area is for beginner and intermediate skiers. At Patscherkofel you could also take a bobsled ride down the Olympic run.

Axamer Lizum is reached by Skier bus. This area is for beginner and intermediate skiers.

If you were to buy the Innsbruck Super Skipass, you could take the free bus to St. Anton or Kitzbühel.
