Price Difference for a lunch and a beer in tourist/non area?

Hi

Is it worth getting away from the more touristy areas to have lunch or go for a beer with the male members of our party, while the ladys attack the shops.

Should I expect a big price difference or is it minimal, therefore not worth worrying about?

And comments on O%26#39;Malleys? Found there website and looks a nice place to drop in for an hour on Saturday afternoon

A great place for lunch, especially if you enjoy a beer, is Stieglkeller, set just below the fortress, just along from the Funicular railway. It is not expensive, there are loads of rooms and the beer is excellent. The food is comprehensive and the service very good indeed.

While I%26#39;m allergic to the word %26quot;ladies%26quot; I would say Stieglkeller is a great place for blokes to eat if they want a few beers together, but on the other hand the women would love it too. The views over the city are great.

I think only the really smart, touristy restaurants have inflated prices. If the %26quot;ladies%26quot; wanted a nice lunch without the men then Da Pippo at the bottom of Altermarkt is a good Italian restaurant (close to the shops) and no more expensive than here in the UK.

Sorry can%26#39;t help with O%26#39;Malleys :-)
