Roley, I am having a dream come true, I will be attending the SRS performance on May 20... however our travel plans did not allow me to snap up the best seats! I was there in the fall for a morning exercise, and now rather have my heart set on seating in the Parterrelogue- which seems sold out. (I am an FEI instructor and certainly will appreciate seeing every footfall... not one second will be lost on me, I promise!) I can get Cat 4 which I am sure will be fine... but any advice as to who to go to for the best seats at this late date? I will be staying at the Sacher and thought perhaps that was a good resource, do you have better advice for me please? Certainly you seem a kindred spirit, your advice got me the best seat in the house for the AM works, and I hope that you can help me here as well... I am very grateful and have my fingers crossed.

Great to hear you%26#39;re going to a show! (I admit, if I were going that weekend I would be going on Friday night as well, if poss!) Cat. 4 is good but if you go for those seats, I suggest ringing up the School and asking for seats in the middle of the long side of the first gallery which will give you the best view of the whole. The seat nos. near the middle are approx 20-40 and 120-140. Naturally these sell first - which may mean there are only seats left closer to the ends, with less view.
If you want seats in the first category (1st row parterreloge or royal box, on the first level) you could try a ticket agent. I see that Jirsa (www.viennaticket.at) have 2 seats in the first category for the 20. May show. There%26#39;s a heftyish markup on them, of course, but even the face-price for tix to that show is quite high so may as well go for broke, I always say!
I am going to a show in March and the School had sold out of Cat. 1 tix then too so I bought one from Jirsa. They don%26#39;t tell you exactly where the seats are located but I asked them to try to get me one in the parterreloge (1st row) if poss. and they said they would do their best. The Hofloge 1st row is good too, so I%26#39;m quite happy to sit there, though I prefer to get covered in horsehair and froth in the parterreloge!
Hope that helps!

I would suggest that you contact the Sacher Hotel Concierge to get the best tickets for the Riding school.
If they can not get good tickets no one can.
