A group of us have booked flights to Salzburg on the above dates and plan to travel to Kitzbuhel and try and get accomodation on arrival.
However, I learned that these dates also fall within the half-term in Europe and the place may be very busy.
Does anyone have any idea of hotels that may be available? I will give them a call beforehand.
Otherwise, are there any other resorts worth looking at with similar night-life to Kitz along with some good snow?
Many thanks

The place will be very very busy, make sure you get accommodation booked.

Ok I have stayed in two places in Kitz, first when I went with some mates all we wanted was a bed for the night, so we stayed a snowbunnies hostel, not as bad as it sounds, they have a range of rooms from single, twin, double up to 6 bed dorms, shared bathroom, the rooms are clean, the bed linen is clean, very warm rooms, good hot showers throughout the day. Every room has satelitte tv with 100s of channels, there is a drying room, shared kitchen. it is central in kitzbuhel, 10 min walk from the lift up to hahnenkahm 15 min walk to the horn...web address www.snowbunnies.co.uk the owner is from New Zealand so no language problems.
When I went withy my partner we stayed at the Pension Johanna, this was very clean, included breakfast, skibus stop outside the door, 5 mins from lift and bang in the centre of Kitz. Good value. web address

Thanks for your replies.
I found accomodation at Pension Alpenrose, which is very central.
They had room due to a cancellation, so we are fortunate as all the other places I tried (about 14) were full.
Now all we need is snow!
