Hut to Hut Hike in early July

My wife and I will have about a week for a hut to hut hike in early July. I would like recommendations regarding areas to hike in. I have Jonathon Hurdle%26#39;s book and it lists several nice hikes.

There are some very nice areas in the Ziller Valley - Mayrhofen would be the starting point I believe. When we stayed there one summer many people were doing that. The scenery is lovely there. See if any of the hikes in your book refer to the Ziller Valley. It is a beautiful area.

as you must know this is a very populr thing in Austria- well- marked trails and good facilities in the mountains.

Some nice places in my opinion

Arlberg ( Lech)

Alpbach

Oztal

Wolfgangsee/ Fuschl

Hohe Tauern

The Ziller valley while nice is probably not a good choice during that time .

A famous musical group- the Schürzenjagers from that area plan a big concert in the middle of July.

They did a similar thing several years ago with many thousands attending - chaos as the only access in this area is by a 2 lane highway.
