I%26#39;d really appreciate any advice on what to do or what not to do while in Zell Am See at the beginning of February 2007. 3 kids aged, 5, 8 %26amp; 9. First time skiers and we are staying in Hotel Berner. All tips welcome.

Zell is very pretty with a fair amount of skiing. If you do not want to ski then you could take a day trip to Salzburg or simply enjoy the beautiful town. The ski school is at the Smittenhoe access is excellent and very well run. Put your children into ski school - they will have fantastic time and do the same yourselves! Ski school usually runs 2hrs in the morning and 2 in the afternoon with a break for lunch. Some great bars and apres ski! Make sure children have ski gloves tied into their coats, are warm and have a drink with them.
Ski school ends at around 3.30pm - then off for a hot chocolate or something stronger!

Kids ski school usually covers lunch time,as the ski area is quite wide spread, they will need 10 euro approx. to cover it.

Hi,
www.zellamsee.com will have all events in the town listed aswell as the ski school links, prices etc. The childrens beginers area is in Schuttdorf - 5min. bus ride away, you can hire a locker there for all the families equipment for about 20 euros /week - makes life much easier than wrestling the bus with children, skis etc. We are also there first week Feb. with girls 5 and 3! and took them there last year -fantastic you will have a ball!
