approximate taxi cost from Airport to Salzburg

Hello,

I want to take a taxi for 5 people from Salzburg Airport to Hotel Mozart ( (Franz-Josef Strasse).

- Are taxis for 5 people easy to find (or are they mostly for 4 people?)

- What is the approximate cost so that we know that we are not being charged more because we are tourists.

Not sure about the taxi but the No 2 bus from the airport drops you just across the road from the Hotel Mozart. Get off at the Congress Centre which is 2 stops after the main railway station. Cross the road and Franz-Josef Strasseis is a few yards up on the left.

Bus fare is 1.90 Euros

There are larger, minibus type taxis at the airport so you should have no problems fitting everyone in. I should think around 10 Euro would be the fare into town, depending on the traffic. We stay in the southern suburbs and always pay about 16 Euros as our journey is a good bit further. The Salzburg taxi drivers are not really like some you encounter in Europe. The fare is strictly metered and is the same for everyone. In the last two years we%26#39;ve taken 14 taxi rides to and from Salzburg airport and have never been ripped off.

As mentioned there seems to be plenty of %26quot;People Carrier%26quot; type Taxis - I%26#39;m sure they could take 5 without any trouble and a Taxi between 5 isn%26#39;t going to be that too bad. No idea on the fare though I%26#39;m afraid.

You can catch the #2 bus though which goes past the Hotel door. It goes up Paris-London Strasse, goes left at Franz-Josef Strasse then swings immediate right up Stelzhamerstasse with the Hotel on the left corner. Get of at the Stelzhamerstasse stop (the buses show what is the next stop) and take the short walk back to the Hotel.
