We are planning to travel to Vienna in March for 3 nights. We are looking for a good hotel but there are so many and we are not sure what is the best area. We are trying to cram in as much as we can in the time we are there and prefer to see all the sights on foot if possible but also like to be close to lots of restaurants and bars. Any suggestions for good hotels?

It is best to look for a hotel in the city center - known as the 1st District-
easy to determine this by postal code of hotel- the First District postal code is A-1010 and will show on the hotels address.
Just click on the trip advisor - Vienna Hotels and chck this then read the information and reviews.
Many major tourist sites are within easy walking distance - also many restaurants. nightlife , concert and opera venues , shopping too.
many discussions too about hotels in this area on the Vienna forum.
