Austria Trend Hotel Albatros

i am getting some very mixed reviews on the austria trend hotel albatros. i am in desperate need of help to find something else. i have tried every web site i could find to see if the dates i am going to be in vienna had any other accomadations. we will be there aug.29-sept 2. i understand there is a convention going on at that time.any hotel i stay in must have air conditioning. any ideas, please help me...thanks

A room with air conditioning ? A convention of Cardiology with 25,000 plus attendees is a yearly event in Vienna. It happens this year 9/1 - 9/5 earlier than usual I think.

This has booked all good rooms in the city.

Austria Trend is a small chain of hoels with an OK reputation but this ( Albatross)is not the best location in my opinion.

But if air conditioning is absolutely needed - this may be one of only a few places available. Probably any others have some problems or they would be booked.

Have you checked the Vienna Tourist website

they have a hotel locator - you can enter your dates of visit. and see what may be available.

An alternative- a very nice small Landhaus ( B and B) in a cool place in Vienna- directly in a wine district with a fantastic courtyard and very nice rooms. Many nice Heurigers nearby with excelent food ,

20 - 25 minutes from city center-

always much cooler here than in the center. Much higher- often snows there when raining in city center
