Car seat needed for 7 month old for transfer from airport?

We are looking in to a long weekend in Salzburg and are planning on travelling as light as possible with our 7 month old. Would you recommend taking a car seat and pushchair (or no car seat and carry pouch?)

If you are staying in the city your car journey will be no longer than fifteen minutes from the airport. I would recommend you email Salzburg airport and ask if they know whether any of the taxis have child seats.

The odds of getting a taxi with a carseat, even if you call ahead, are very small. I would recommend that you bring a carseat and pushchair.

You may need the carseat for the plane, but the airlines are grossly incompentent and out of synch with regards to infants. We%26#39;ve been told that a pouch is not allowed in flight on the return leg of an airlines that said nothing outbound, some require you have your own carseat, others won%26#39;t allow them, but don%26#39;t offer alternatives.
