Someone showed me a site for GERLOS, AUSTRIA, which looks like it could fit the bill, but it is backtracking on a trip that is going from Saltzburg to Vienna. So I am looking for information on the following: 1) local or knowledgeable insight on Gerlos, including car route, travel time ~ Saltzburg to Gerlos and Gerlos to Vienna, specific resort info/ experience, tips re horseback riding arrangements, etc.) 2) Are there any other places that are more on route, Saltzburg to Vienna, and would be more Alpine village-ish without being touristy?? 3) Am I asking too much and need to hone my request --suggestions, thoughts?
