Information on B and B in Vienna

Does anyone on this forum have any knowledge of Edith%26#39;s Bed and Breakfast address Borse Platz, Wien? There are no reports on Trip Advisor - I found the link on another site.

This is a small Bed and Breakfast- (2 apartments) on Borse Platz- in the First District but not most convenient condition.

I do not know the building- but probably a typical 19 th century style apartment house-

I think you could find something better.

I quickly checked the list of State Society of Private Landlords - Apartment Association saw no listing- while this is not all bad- lack of any reviews is not good to me.

Does one have to have minimum standards to belong to this or can anyone just list their establishment?

I am a little confused about districts. I thought this was one of the more central. Could you give me the name of a few districts that are in a better location.

The website listing these Band Bs lists them for a fee. Apparently no inspection , or confirmation of information supplied by lister.

Anyone can list their place.

The site I mention above is an official assocition with numerous rules and located in the city where places are located.nformation

Trip Advisor shows a good percentage of places in Vienna and most importantly usually many reviews on most- I like that idea of information of actual ( hopefully ) guests.

Note supposedly for IBB site 2 unfavorable reviews and the Band B is delisted - yet any unfavorable review is not to be listed on the individual B and B website.

This Band B has just 1 review- I would not put much trust in just 1

The First District is the city center and generally the best located for tourists. However, many other B and B are much better located ( more central than this one) in the First District.

But this is your trip and your money- only you can decide what is best for you.

Suzanne is a perfect location for a tourist.. easy walking

1 minute to State Opera

5-7 minute to Hofburg palace

5.10 minutes to major museums and museum Quarter,

Public transport nearby.

Numerous restaurants of all price ranges close too.

Major shopping too.

Food market in lower level of Ringstrasse Galerie nearby- good to buy snacks, drinks, and food.

I have not stayed there- but many good reviews- only a few negative.

To me, an OK choice.
