Take a taxi from the airport, it%26#39;s just a short ride away. Your hotel is in a great location. The Mozart Dinner Concert at St Peters is a wonderful experience. The room where they hold it takes your breath away. The vegetarian food is not always great but if you%26#39;re a meat eater you should enjoy the meal. The singing is lovely.
Don%26#39;t miss a trip up to the fortress on the funicual railway. It%26#39;s well worth a visit. Schloss Hellbrunn is lovely too. Many people like the Sound of Music tour but I haven%26#39;t done it so can%26#39;t recommend personally. St Peters%26#39; cemetery is also interesting (right next door to the restaurant). A walk on the Monchsberg (the hill to the right of the fortress as you look at it) is also nice and affords fabulous views of the city. You can get up there by taking the lift up to the Modern Art museum.

I also think the Mozart Dinner is a great experience, but I was a choral teacher in a previous life! If you want, you can just go there for lunch or dinner a la carte and then wander about and sticky-beak in the different rooms ;-)
For a nice local lunch, the Sternbrau on the Getreidegasse or the Glockenspiel Cafe. Visit the churches if you like Baroque style, and the Mozart Birth House if you like Mozart. You can also walk up (or down) from the fortress. I%26#39;m afraid I can%26#39;t help with the airport transter.

Talking of lunch. Right next door to Mozart%26#39;s Wohnhaus (the house on the other side of the river, not his birthplace) is a cafe called Cafe Classic. Even though it is next door to a major attraction it is still reasonably priced. It has a no-smoking section and we often have lunch or even just coffee and cake in there. The staff are friendly and very efficient and will let you sit for hours over your meal. I%26#39;ve noticed (because I go quite often) that it is a place a lot of locals go to - always a good recommendation.
