We are planning a ten day trip and would like to stay in two different areas. We were considering just outside Salzburg and then somewhere else in the Tirol area. Our interest in cross country skiing. Any town recommendations. Thanks

they have hosted Olympic eventa and Nordic combined ( nordic again this year.

200 -300 Kilometers of well maintained trails.

Town with good selection of hotels and other sports

We cross country skied in Maria Alm last Jan/Feb and it was fabulous! Beautifully groomed trails through gorgeous countryside. It was about 1 1/2 hours from Salzburg.
