For travel from the Munich airport to Salzburg use the Bayern Ticket. Up to five can travel after 9 AM on weekdays for just 26 € but only on the local RE or RB trains. At the airport, claim your luggage and follow the green signs with the white S. At the top of the esculator going down to the S-Bahn platforms, buy the ticket from a machine or the DB service desk [1 € service charge].

Use the DB website to find schedules - http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.exe/en

From: München Flughafen Terminal

To: Salzburg Hbf

change ‘Means of tranport’ to “only local transport”

You will take the S-8 to Munich Ost station and change to an RE or RB train – same trains, a few more stops and a whole lot cheaper. The fare using the S-Bahn and faster trains would be 30 € EACH.

Use the ÖBB website for train schedules in Austria - http://www.oebb.at/vip8/oebb/en/

There is at least 1 train per hour from Salzburg to Kitzbühel and the travel time is 2h 08m or 2h 37h. The fares are:

2nd class 1-PLUS-Freizeit-Ticket 24.30 €

Full 2nd class 23.30 €

Full 1st class 38.70 €

The 1-PLUS-Freizeit-Ticket is were the 1st traveler pays that fare and other travelers [up to 5] pay a reduced fare.

You would not want to rent a car, drive on strange roads and find a place to park it.
