Vienna has a City Card- good for 72 hours of unlimited transport on all public transport in the city.
It also offers discounts on many attractions from major sights, museums, restaurants, etc.
cost 18,50 euro. a good buy

The Albatros is on Liechtenstein Strasse - the streetcar line #D can be found at the Franz Josef Bahnhof on Julius Tandler Platz about a 5-7 minute walk.and is probably the best means to reach the city center. Probably a 10 minute plus ride on the D to the Ringstrasse at Scottentor- another 5-10 minutes to the Hofburg palace and Fine Arts Museum with the D If you continue with the D it will take you past the State Opera and eventually to the Belvedere palace.
An alternative streetcar is the #38 found on Nüssdorfer Strasse - 5 -7 minute walk and a little up hill . This will take you to Schottentor on the Ring ( same area as the D
Two subway lines , the U-4 and U-6 are further from the hotel- at least 10- 15 minute walk- best to use the streetcar.
The Liechtenstein Palace and Gallery is not far from the hotel and worth a visit .
