I%26#39;m looking for some Trinny %26amp; Susanna-style advice here... we have no idea what to wear to Salzburg in mid-February - we%26#39;re fully kitted out with all the snow gear (boots, jackets and salopettes) with a view to a trip to the Salzkammergut but we haven%26#39;t a clue what to wear as we wander around the City. Will standard (British) cold weather wear be enough (with some thermals) or will we have to be kitted out like snowboarders?
Any advice will be most welcome!

In the city it should be OK just to wear your cold weather gear. Once when we were there it was minus 8 most of the time. We really needed our whicking layers, buffs, hats and gloves. As long as you layer up you%26#39;ll be fine. The streets/pavements will be clear even if their is lots of snow but I%26#39;d still wear waterproof footwear.

So some good lined trousers, thermals, vests and socks will be fine in the city? No need for the full-on Eddie %26#39;The Eagle%26#39; Edwards look?

Lined trousers, etc will be fine. You won%26#39;t need all your snowboarding gear in the city :-) You%26#39;d be sweltered inside the cafes and shops.
