We are travelling on Sat March 3rd (possibly a holiday period?) by train from Innsbruk to Kitzbuhel. Should I somehow buy a ticket on the net first (ticket purchase is in German on site), or just buy one at the station on the day?
We will have 2 large suitcases and 2 pairs of skis - is there much luggage space?

No need to purchase in advanced, just wait and buy tickets at the Innsbruck train station.
Ski boots maybe but there is no need to haul your skis around. Rent them at the resort, save the hassle and use theirs.
Luggage space will be overhead [like an airplane] or at the end of the coach.

Trains between Innsbruck and Kitzbühel are local trains (REX - Regionalexpress) so you can%26#39;t reserve seats... but there%26#39;s even no use to do it.
Luggage space overhead, between the seats and some trains do also have ski racks next to the doors (otherwise just place them overhead).
Single ticket is € 12,80 per person (as you will be travelling within Tyrol and will get the tariff of the Tyrol tariff association VVT)...

And by the way: you can get tickets from the counter or ticket machines... quite easy!

Thanks everyone! Have to take my skis - they%26#39;re only new and I love them!
